About

Chaos Arts CIC was established in 2022 to further develop and increase the impact of the work our team delivers in community and education settings. In 2024, we brought back Liverpool City Region's leading dance event, Leap Dance Festival, expanding our work to include artist development and access to dance performance for audiences of all backgrounds and budgets.

Through our schools programmes (in Primary and Secondary schools), our classes in the community (GET ACTIVE), and Leap Dance Festival, Chaos Arts CIC provides opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, genders and religions to experience the transformative power of the arts.

We work with marginalised groups of people including LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse and those from the Global Majority. Our activity takes place in the hearts of local communities and in areas with high levels of deprivation and low economic activity, as we strive for a society with equal access to arts.

Mission

We improve the quality of lives through the arts. Our work provides increased access and engagement opportunities for people living and working in Liverpool City Region to take part in and experience the arts (in some cases, for the very first time).

We work with young people, communities and local artists to create and develop programmes of activity and new performance work.

Purpose

As an organisation we aim to advance public education through dance and related art forms by promoting, developing, and increasing public knowledge, understanding, appreciation, participation, and enjoyment of these arts.
