Dance Film Call Out!
Leap and Taciturn are looking for dancers of all abilities to be part of a new dance film.
Filming date: Sunday 17th May (9am - 2pm)
Location: Huyton, Knowsley
This dance film is inspired by Taciturn’s project, Women Holding Things: In the rhythm of everyday life, their hands gather the things that keep the world moving. They carry the quiet responsibility of nurturing and sustaining the spaces where life unfolds. Within them rests a living archive of memories, joys, griefs and hopes. In their care, love becomes both weight and strength, something held gently yet carried forward.
Sign up to find out more, by emailing: jen@leapfestival.co.uk. We'll share details (including what to wear, what to bring and where to meet) ahead of rehearsal and filming dates.
For the film, Taciturn is thinking not just about holding, but carrying. Participants will be invited to bring along something to take with them, as part of the dance ritual at the site we’ve chosen.
