Prize 2026
We're thrilled to be awarding £750 bursaries to four-five shortlisted artists, selected by a panel of dance professionals, with one selected artist receiving a further £1000 development fund.
We are looking for proposals from individual dance artists and companies, which:

Demonstrate original ideas for new dance work

Will further develop their own dance / creative practice

Can be performed in front of an audience in a traditional theatre setting (at Unity Theatre)

Youth Dance
Showcase
On Saturday 25th April, students will have the opportunity to take part in a day of specialist dance workshops from all disciplines, with a range of invited artists. In the evening, groups will perform for a public audience
We are looking for youth groups from across Liverpool City Region to take part.
In order to secure your group's place, you must complete the registration form and return along with the registration fee of £25.

Community
Dance Platform
Registration is now open for our 2026 Community dance event, taking place in the iconic Palm House Sefton Park!
We're looking for groups from across Liverpool City Region, of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, to perform in a range of styles. Last year, we cheered on 14 different groups with performers spanning 70 years in age!
In order to secure your group's place, you must complete the registration form and return along with the registration fee of £25.

LGBTQIA+ dance

Our LGBTQIA+ community dance group is 1! Over the past 12 months we've had the privilege of leading sessions for so many amazing LGBTQIA+ people from across Liverpool City Region.
Join us for a fun and inclusive class that will help you stay fit and active, followed by a social to get to know each other better. No experience necessary!

We're looking for primary and secondary schools and sixth form college groups from across Liverpool City Region, to perform in a range of styles. Each year we provide our groups with a central theme to respond to and this years theme is Dancing Through The Decades.
In order to secure your group's place, you must complete the registration form and return along with the registration fee of £25.
Register by Friday 6th March.
African and Caribbean
Dance class for women

A weekly dance class open to women of all ages.
The focus of these classes is on fun and fitness combining aerobic exercise, mobilisation and a gentle stretch with dance styles and rhythms from Africa and The Caribbean

Get Active Knowsley
We are working across Knowsley in schools and youth centres to make more young people active through participation in dance.
So far we have delivered dance sessions at Huyton with Roby C of E Primary School, Centre 63 and Shakespeare North Playhouse.
